What Does Door-to-Door Auto Transport Actually Mean?
Door-to-door auto transport means that you let us know the pick-up location of your choice and the drop off location of your choice and we do our very best to make sure your vehicle is picked up and delivered right at those locations, or as close to it as possible.
Even when you ship a car from one state to another, we work hard to ensure your vehicle is picked up and dropped off as close to your door as possible. However, it is important to note that how close we are able to get to the specific location is entirely dependent on the nature of the roads and what kind of shipping vehicle (Car Motorcycle, or Luxury) will be required for your vehicle.
If your vehicle is being shipped on a large, multi-vehicle carrying truck and trailer combination and you wish to have your vehicle picked up in front of your home on a thin street, then we will park our truck as close as we can get to your home address and from there meet you at the pick-up location.
As long as the vehicle is actively usable, we will then drive your vehicle back over to our truck and repeat the same process for drop off.
Door-to-Door Transport vs. Terminal-to-Terminal Transport
You may have also heard this phrase terminal-to-terminal transport and wondered how it compares to door-to-door transport. Well, much like the definition of door-to-door is quite literal, so is the definition of terminal-to-terminal! In terminal-to-terminal auto transport, rather than having your vehicle shipped from one door to another, the vehicle would be shipped from one terminal to another.
Terminal-to-terminal is far less commonly used nowadays because door-to-door car shipping is so much more convenient, but also because terminals that accept vehicles being transported are far less common. If you prefer, we do still offer terminal-to-terminal auto transport services rather than our usual door-to-door.
